Kason Pressure Relief Vents

When it comes to walk-in freezers, safety and reliability depend on more than just insulated panels and heavy-duty doors. One of the most critical components is the pressure relief vent.

Why They’re Important

  • Every time a freezer door is opened and closed, warm air enters and then contracts as it cools, creating a strong vacuum. Without a PRV, this pressure difference can make the door difficult to reopen—or worse, damage the door and gasket.

  • A properly installed PRV allows air to balance naturally, ensuring the freezer operates smoothly without forcing equipment to work harder.

  • Sudden pressure imbalances can compromise the seal of your freezer, risking temperature fluctuations that put your stored product at risk.
